Fantini I Balocchi: Playful Design in Our Latest Project

In our recent project with interior designers Leo+Cici in Dublin, we had the pleasure of working with Fantini’s I Balocchi faucets, an iconic collection that has been redefining bathroom design since 1978. Choosing these taps was about more than functionality; it was about introducing personality and colour into a space that is often overlooked.

Designed by Davide Mercatali and Paolo Pedrizzetti, I Balocchi was the first faucet collection to break away from the traditional chrome look, bringing bold shapes and vibrant finishes into the bathroom. Reissued in 2012, the collection has been refined for contemporary interiors while still keeping its playful spirit intact.

What makes I Balocchi truly special is its ability to transform a simple fixture into a focal point. In our project, the use of these colorful faucets added a unique character and elevated the overall atmosphere of the space. Beyond aesthetics, I Balocchi also supports Fantini’s “100 Fontane for Africa” initiative, meaning every installation carries with it a sense of purpose.

We love how these taps embody the essence of Italian design: bold, joyful, and timeless. Bringing them into our project was not only a design choice but also a statement of creativity and care.
